Poetry, Hip Hop and The Unknown

Where: The Wolf House (aka Bella Luna Studio

When: Thursday, June 1, from 8 -10 PM, 

What: I'll be performing a series of poems (and a few melodies) accompanied by Karen Townsend on accordion  and JG Everest on guitar, keyboard and effects.  Rumor has it Ben Durrant may join us as well. 

Poet and experimental hip hop artist, Charles Frempong-Longdon (Blacc.KLagoon) accompanied by Luc Hans Larson (w e s t k o r e a) on beats, vox and trumpet, will open up the night at 8 PM. 

Charles and Luc just released a fantastic new EP, Baby Boyand you can listen to it on Bandcamp here. They plan to perform many of the pieces off Baby Boy at the Wolf House on June 1.  

As for me, I will be mixing some old in with the new.  For a preview, below are two video links to works in progress that will featured in the show.  These pieces will also be part, in some form, of my second poetry + music album, Fake Apocalypse, due to be released in 2018. 

The Flood: a work in progress filmed mostly in Minneapolis and set to a live recording. Music by Karen Townsend and JG Everest (recorded during a rehearsal in JG Everest's living room March 2017).
